Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What are "API Credits"?

Every unique API URL you construct will consume at least 1 API Credit when first generating the asset. Subsequent requests to the same API URL may be cached in our CDN for as long as the TTL (Time To Live) you desire. For example, if you specify a TTL of 86400, the asset will consume at most 1 API Credit per day. If you provide a TTL of 0, the asset will NOT be cached and every request will consume 1 API Credit to generate an up-to-date preview.

  2. Do you offer refunds?

We're happy to serve you and want you to at least try our service risk free. Currently we offer a 10 day, no questions asked, money back guarantee which applies to all purchases. If URL2Thumb isn't right for you, we'd love to hear how to make it better!

  3. What day will I get charged?

Subscriptions renew monthly. If the day you began your subscripton is between 1-28, your billing date will always be the same. If the day you began your subscription is 29, 30, or 31, your billing date will either be the lesser of (a) that day, or (b) the last day of the month.

  4. What happens when I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription by visiting Account > Change Plan and selecting the unsubscribe option. You will still have access to URL2Thumb until your current billing period expires.

  5. Can I upgrade/downgrade my plan later?

Yes. You can change your plan at any time by visiting Account > Change Plan. For downgrades, a prorated refund will be applied to your user account balance which will automatically be used for future payments. For upgrades, an immediate payment may be due.

  6. Can your API handle potentially thousands of requests?

Yes. We recommend leveraging the CDN feature of our service to ensure the highest asset availability as it has the effect of reducing load "burstiness" by amortizing it out over time. Our worker pool is load balanced and has auto-scaling features across multiple nodes. We maintain a minimum number of idle workers to ensure fast response times to incoming requests. In principle, we can handle any workload and are continuously monitoring application health to ensure so.
